Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Framer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of building structures and be proficient in various framing techniques. This role involves working with a variety of materials and tools to construct, restore, and finish projects according to specifications. The Framer will play a crucial role in ensuring that all work meets quality standards and is completed on time.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and work from schematics to accurately build structures.
  • Construct frameworks for buildings, including walls, roofs, and floors.
  • Restore existing structures by repairing or replacing damaged components.
  • Install siding and other exterior finishes as required.
  • Perform concrete finishing tasks to ensure smooth surfaces.
  • Utilize concrete forming techniques for foundation work.
  • Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure project completion.
  • Engage in heavy lifting as necessary to move materials and equipment.

Skills

  • Proficiency in reading schematics and blueprints.
  • Experience in building and restoring structures with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of siding installation techniques.
  • Familiarity with concrete finishing methods and concrete forming practices.
  • Ability to weld when required for specific projects.
  • Competence in using hand tools such as saws, hammers, and drills.
  • Experience with power tools including nail guns, sanders, and mixers.
  • Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing.

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of construction projects by accurately estimating costs, resources, and timelines. This position requires strong project management skills and the ability to negotiate effectively with stakeholders. Proficiency in construction estimating software such as Buildxact or other software is needed.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop project scopes and budgets.
  • Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
  • Negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best possible terms.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and team members to facilitate smooth project execution.
  • Review and update estimates as necessary throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and contracts for future reference.
  • Stay current with industry trends, materials, and best practices in construction estimating.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid is a need we use Buildxact
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on problem-solving.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory.
